5 to 15 Years in Prison for CSC
A Copper Country man will spend at least the next 5 years in prison on a pair of sexual assault convictions.
40-year-old Kirk LaBonte of Lake Linden has been sentenced to 6 to 15 years behind bars.
He’s already been in jail for more than a year, and he was given credit for that time served.
Labonte recently pleaded no contest to 2 counts of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct.
He was accused of having sexual contact in late 2007 with both a 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl.
Labonte had also been charged with 1st-degree CSC and supplying the girls with alcohol.
Those charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.
