4 Injured in Bessemer Crash

A head–on collision in Bessemer Wednesday resulted in four people sent to the hospital and charges against one driver.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department says it happened at about 3:30 Central time Wednesday afternoon on US-2 near Access Road.

Charles Spengler was ticketed for careless driving for his role in the accident.

Police say Spengler’s pickup crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.

That vehicle was driven by Kolleen Prasnick.

Both drivers and two passengers in Prasnick’s vehicle were taken to Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.

The investigation into the accident may result in additional charges against Spengler.
