Man escapes injury in snowmobile accident

ONTONAGON COUNTY — An out-of-state man escaped injury after he lost control of his snowmobile while riding in Ontonagon County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office, Jesse Sullivan of Hanover, Minnesota was riding his sled on Trail No. 3 around 3:00 p.m. when he lost control of the machine while trying to negotiate a curve. The snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree.

Sullivan’s snowmobile suffered extensive damage as a result of the crash. He was ticketed for operating at unreasonable speeds.
