MARQUETTE– The Flying Moose Café opened this morning in the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

The café offers organic food, drinks and baked goods and the owners say like the new location because they can cater to families and employees at the library. Also according to the owners, they picked this location was due to interest from members of the the community.

Co-owner Melanie Poch said, “We had lots of requests from the community, that’s what sparked our interest in coming to the library. We had lots of people request that even if it’s only a few blocks away instead of coming into the store (on Washington Street), that they’d spend more time in the café down here.”

Boden Poch, the owner’s son said, “We also wanted to make, be healthy and happy to eat here.”

Besides the new location the owners of the Flying Moose have a new baker who will be providing both their locations with glucose-free, spelt and eventually paleo-diet food.

The Flying Moose has another location on Washington Street and offers catering.
