Several of the guys at the insurance agency are growing beards as part of a fundraiser for the Beacon House. ‘Beards for Beacon’ began on Tuesday.

Growing facial hair for the entire month of November isn’t something new for the gentlemen at VAST. They’ve grown mustaches for ‘Movember’, to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues.

Now, they’re happy to be raising money for a local cause, just by letting their shaving cream and razors gather dust and cobwebs.

“I think that some guys may let the thing grow without touching it. Other guys might clean it up,” said Scott Reddinger, account manager at VAST about the ‘Beards for Beacon’ fundraiser.

“We will see at the month who ends up having the best beard. It should be a close race. I have to shave every day, so it should be fun. The guys are excited at the chance to not have to shave for the month and we’re going to have a good time with it,” Reddinger added.
