2.9% Tuition Hike at NMU
The Northern Michigan University’s Board of Trustees makes official what it discussed yesterday — a tuition increase.
In-state undergrads will be paying $205 more per semester, or $410 for the year.
But nearly half of that amount will be offset by stimulus money that the school is applying as a credit to every student’s bill.
With the stimulus credit accounted for, it comes out to a 2.9% increase.
Grad students will have to pay $28 more per credit hour, and non-Michigan-resident undergrads will be paying $226 more per semester.
These moves are the same moves that the board’s Finance Committee recommended yesterday.
