15 to 22 Years for Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident
A downstate man who killed 3 women in Mackinac County by running them over with his SUV goes to prison.
28-year-old Dustan Bowen of Sanford will be behind bars for 15 to 22 years.
Last month, he pleaded no contest to 3 counts of negligent homicide.
He also pleaded guilty to 3 counts of failure to stop at the scene of an at-fault accident resulting in death.
Bowen admitted to being the driver in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Newton Township last July.
Jonel Hoogterp and Julie Hatch, both from Durham, North Carolina, and Sara Dobbrastine of downstate Kent City all died from their injuries.
