11th Annual First Nations Food Taster

People came from far and wide tonight for a Native American experience where taste buds were the target.

It was the eleventh annual native american food taster at Northern Michigan University.

The taster blends traditional and contemporary Native American dishes to give diners an authentic taste of the culture.

The event is run each year by the Native American student association, the center for Native American studies and many volunteers.

And while the taster serves as a fun way to celebrate food it also helps the students fund another annual event.

This years First Nations Food Taster fed over 350 hungry guests.

The “Learning to walk together” Pow Wow will be held in March.
